NEWARK, NJ – Siobhan Chandler, a 21-year-old resident of Newark, was sentenced to 12 years in prison after a series of violent crimes, including robberies and shootings, in Jersey City. U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced that the sentencing took place on Monday by U.S. District Judge Brian R. Martinotti.
On the night of November 14, 2023, Chandler, along with accomplice Rodney Williams, engaged in a crime spree that included the armed robbery of a gas station.
During this incident, Williams reportedly brandished a firearm at a station attendant to extort money, while Chandler and Williams together threatened two employees with violence. Following these events, Chandler admitted to charges including conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery and using a firearm in relation to a crime of violence.
