Philadelphia Boutique Smash and Grab Burglary Suspect Wore CK Hat

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division is on the lookout for a suspect involved in a commercial burglary. The incident occurred in the early hours of May 10, 2024, at a boutique located at 4300 Main St.

Surveillance footage shows an unknown black male smashing the boutique’s front window using a hammer he retrieved from a bag.

After breaking into the store, the suspect stole high-end purses valued at approximately $4,900. The burglary, captured on camera, showed the suspect casing the area several times before committing the crime at 2:15 AM. He was last seen fleeing south on Main St.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, with a salt-and-pepper full beard. He was wearing a black “Calvin Klein” baseball cap with “CK” on the back, a dark gray/black New Balance jacket with “NB” on the left chest and writing on the left sleeve, light gray sweatpants, light blue Saucony sneakers, and gray/black gloves.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in identifying the suspect.
