Elderly Man Suffers Skull Fracture in Times Square Subway Station Attack

NEW YORK, NY – An assault on a 70-year-old man occurred last Saturday morning at the Times Square subway station, prompting a police search for the assailant. At about 9:50 AM, while on the southbound 2,3 platform, the victim was struck in the head with a bag by an unidentified male, causing him to fall and sustain an orbital fracture.

The assailant fled the scene on a southbound 2 train. The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue and is in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a light brown jacket, gray pants, and black dress shoes.
