Fatal Drive-By Shooting at Willingboro Social Club

WILLINGBORO, NJ—A drive-by shooting at the Diamond Dogz social club in Willingboro resulted in the death of a 45-year-old local man last night, as confirmed by Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Willingboro Township Acting Public Safety Director Captain Ian Bucs.

The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Monday, in the first block of John F. Kennedy Way. According to the investigation, a dark-colored vehicle slowly approached the area where numerous people were gathered outside the club. A gunman from inside the vehicle then opened fire, shooting multiple rounds toward the crowd.

The victim, identified as Major Hamilton, was hit in the chest. He was quickly transported to Virtua Willingboro Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries just over an hour later. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

The case is currently under investigation by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Willingboro Township Police Department. Lead investigators include BCPO Detective Shannon Sawyer and Detective Katie White, as well as WTPD Detective Brandon Norris. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to help in the ongoing investigation.
