Bellwood Man Charged with Aggravated Battery and Home Invasion

CHICAGO, IL—Kendrick McGregor, 33, has been arrested and charged with serious offenses following a coordinated operation by the Great Lakes Regional Task Force and the Chicago Police Department. McGregor was apprehended on May 23, 2024, at his residence on the 900 block of 24th Ave in Bellwood, Illinois.

The charges against McGregor include one felony count of aggravated battery with a discharge of a firearm and one felony count of home invasion causing great bodily harm. These charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 19, 2024, at around 11:35 p.m., when McGregor allegedly shot a 35-year-old male before forcibly entering a home located in the 1200 block of S. Fairfield Ave in Chicago’s 10th District.

Following his arrest, McGregor is scheduled for a detention hearing on May 25, 2024, at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California. As the case progresses, no further details have been made available to the public at this time.
