Double Homicide and Injury in Bronx Shooting; Investigation Underway

BRONX, NY – A tragic shooting late Thursday night in the Bronx has left two dead and one injured. At approximately 12:14 AM, police were dispatched to the scene at 2290 Davidson Avenue, within the 52nd Precinct, following a 911 call about a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a 36-year-old male, Justin Lawless, and a 44-year-old female, Claretha Daniels, both with gunshot wounds to the chest. A third victim, a 40-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the right arm. All victims were promptly transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where both Lawless and Daniels were pronounced deceased. The third victim remains in stable condition.

The deceased, Lawless and Daniels, were residents of the same address at 2258 Grand Avenue in the Bronx. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this violent incident.
