Bronx Woman Arrested in Deadly Stabbing

BRONX, NY – A 60-year-old woman has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing incident in the Bronx. The arrest occurred on Saturday at around 2:50 PM within the 46 Precinct.

Earlier that day, at approximately 10:10 AM, police were summoned to 1752 Walton Avenue after receiving a 911 call about an injured person. Upon arrival, they found a 32-year-old man, John Welgoss, unconscious with multiple stab wounds to his chest. Emergency medical services declared him deceased at the scene.

Jacqueline Ratliff, a resident of the same address as Welgoss, was arrested in connection with his death. She faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this violent incident continues as authorities work to piece together the events that led to Welgoss’s death.
