Drunk Driver Flips Vehicle in Stafford

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA—A Stafford man has been taken into custody on DUI charges after his vehicle overturned in an incident on the evening of May 24th. Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports that Deputy S.A. Hensley responded to the scene at approximately 7:05 PM along the 800 block of Mountain View Road.

Upon arrival, Deputy Hensley found a Kia Forte lying on its driver side within a traffic lane. Remarkably, there were no injuries reported from the crash. However, the driver exhibited clear signs of intoxication.

After administering field sobriety tests, the 45-year-old driver was arrested for DUI and reckless driving. He was subsequently detained at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until deemed sober.

The incident highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address and mitigate the dangers of impaired driving in the community.
