Man Shot Multiple Times In D.C., Suspect Arrested

WASHINGTON, DC – An arrest has been made swiftly following a shooting in Northwest D.C. early Sunday morning. At around 5:00 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of gunshots on the 1800 block of M Street.

An adult male victim with gunshot wounds was found and quickly transported to a local hospital. Shortly after, MPD officers, along with the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division, apprehended the suspect nearby. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

Donte Francis Scott, a 39-year-old resident of Northwest D.C., has been arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Kill following a thorough investigation by detectives.
