Police Search for Gunman Who Fired at Woman in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In the early hours of Tuesday, police initiated a search for an individual accused of assaulting a woman with a firearm in Northeast Washington. The incident occurred just before 1:00 AM on Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue when an armed suspect confronted the woman as she sat in her vehicle.

After the suspect brandished a handgun at her, she managed to drive away as the assailant fired shots. Fortunately, there were no injuries or damage reported from the gunfire.

D.C. Metro Police are now seeking the community’s help to identify the suspect, for whom a photograph has been released.
