Multi-Agency Pursuit Leads to Atlantic City Juvenile Arrest for Stolen Vehicle in Wall

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ — On Sunday morning, the Wall Township Police Department joined forces with the New Jersey State Police and the Tinton Falls Police Department in a pursuit that began after a vehicle theft in Little Egg Harbor.

The incident escalated after the stolen vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle accident on the Garden State Parkway near milepost 101.7. The suspects then fled on foot into a nearby wooded area, with one being captured by the New Jersey State Police before Wall Township officers arrived.

During the search, Wall Township Police were also called to a hit-and-run accident on Belmar Blvd. near Schoolhouse Road. Further investigation linked one of the fleeing suspects to a burglary at a residence on Belmar Blvd, where a Cadillac was stolen.

The stolen Cadillac was later intercepted by the New Jersey State Police on the Garden State Parkway.

The vehicle was stopped on County Route 537 near the Due Process Golf Course, leading to the apprehension of a 17-year-old male from Atlantic City.

The juvenile faces several charges including Eluding, Receiving Stolen Property, Obstruction, and Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer by the New Jersey State Police, along with additional charges from the Wall Township Police Department.

Despite these charges, it is important to remember that the presumption of innocence applies until proven guilty in a court of law, ensuring that all defendants are afforded their full legal rights under the U.S. Constitution and New Jersey State Law.
