Suspect Identified in Violent Anti-Jewish Hate Crime Attack in New York City

BROOKLYN, NY—The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating an assault against a 40-year-old Jewish man that occurred on Thursday at approximately 7:35 PM in front of 906 Eastern Parkway.

The victim, who was wearing traditional Jewish attire, was reportedly attacked by an individual who punched him repeatedly, forcibly stole his cell phone, and made an anti-Jewish remark during the incident.

Following the assault, the assailant fled into the nearby Kingston Avenue and Eastern Parkway subway station. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities have identified the suspect in this hate crime as 35-year-old Daniel Blanchard.

The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement is urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the apprehension and prosecution of the suspect.
