Recognize This Car? Newark Police Seeking Suspects in Violent Robbery

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Public Safety Director, Fritz G. Fragé, is calling for public assistance in identifying three suspects involved in a robbery on May 31, 2024. The incident took place around 3:41 AM in the 400 block of N. 5th Street, where two men and a woman assaulted a victim with a metal pipe, targeting his head, face, back, and arm.

During the attack, the suspects stole the victim’s iPhone and $700 before fleeing in a silver 2006 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck.

The vehicle, which bears the New Jersey license plate P97RBZ, was last spotted in Clifton, NJ. It is known to frequent areas around Clifton Avenue in Newark and Washington Avenue in Belleville. The vehicle has also been designated as involved in a felony.

The Newark Public Safety Department is urging anyone with information about the suspects or the vehicle to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.
