Suspect Arrested and Firearms Seized in Roxbury Shooting Incident

ROXBURY, MA—The Boston Police Department’s Youth Violence Strike Force successfully executed an onsite warrant arrest of Keon Baker, a 33-year-old Boston resident, on Friday in the area of 3 Monadnock Street. Baker, wanted on multiple warrants from Dorchester District Court, faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building. He was arraigned following his arrest.

On Saturday, detectives from Area B-2 obtained and executed a search warrant at the same Monadnock Street location. During the search, they recovered three firearms along with additional ammunition.

This operation stems from an incident reported on Thursday, May 23, when officers responded to a shot spotter activation near 725 Dudley Street in Roxbury. Although they found ballistic evidence, no victims or suspects were located at that time.
