Wilkes-Barre Man Charged After Assaulting Woman

WILKES-BARRE, PA — Early Sunday morning, Andy Louis of Wilkes-Barre was charged with assault after police responded to a domestic dispute on Dana Street. The incident, which occurred at approximately 5:20 AM, involved a physical altercation between Louis and a 24-year-old female resident.

Upon their arrival, officers were informed by the victim that what started as a verbal disagreement escalated when Louis physically assaulted her.

After the altercation, Louis fled the scene. The victim, who suffered from the confrontation, declined medical attention from emergency medical services.

Authorities filed charges against Andy Louis following the incident, and they continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the altercation.
