Man Shot Sunday Night in Gaithersburg Died at Hospital, Police Report

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division is currently investigating the homicide of 30-year-old Ange Gadji, following a shooting incident on Frederick Avenue.

The tragic event unfolded in the early hours of Sunday, June 2, around 5:11 AM, in the 19700 block of North Frederick Avenue. Gaithersburg Police, along with Montgomery County Police officers, were called to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Gadji with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound and ruled the manner of death as homicide.

The investigation into Gadji’s death is active and ongoing as detectives work to uncover more details surrounding this incident.
