Woman Attacked Inside Columbus Circle Station

NEW YORK, NY – An assault occurred at Columbus Circle and West 59th Street on Tuesday, May 21, at approximately 2:24 PM. A 35-year-old woman was attacked while exiting the train station, resulting in her hospitalization.

The assailant, described as a male with a dark complexion and medium build, approached the victim from behind, grabbed her, and subsequently punched her, causing pain and bruising. He was last observed wearing a gray jacket, black shirt, and gray pants, fleeing the station to an unknown location.

Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Mount Sinai West Hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition. The police are actively seeking the assailant and request that anyone with information regarding the incident come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
