Ocean City K9 Officer Smoke Celebrates Recovery with Community Event

OCEAN CITY, MD — Ocean City Police Department’s K9 officer, Smoke, is on the mend after undergoing surgery due to an on-duty injury. The Maryland Police K9 Foundation is spearheading a fundraising initiative to help cover the costs of Smoke’s surgery, ensuring that funds initially used can be redirected back into the K9 unit for future training and other expenses.

To celebrate Smoke’s recovery and the removal of his cast, the community is invited to join a special event this Saturday, June 8th, at Harbor Freight in Berlin, Maryland. Kings BBQ will be serving up delicious offerings from 10 a.m. until supplies run out.

This event is not only a celebration of Smoke’s recovery but also an opportunity for community members to support the ongoing needs of the Ocean City Police Department’s K9 unit. Join in to show your support for Smoke and enjoy some great food for a worthy cause.
