Fugitive Murder Suspect Sought in Maryland

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD—The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Dayon Neal, a 26-year-old suspect wanted for a recent fatal shooting at the MGM National Harbor Hotel and Casino. Neal, who is currently without a fixed address, is charged with the murder of 37-year-old Daniel Antonio Thomas from Washington, DC. A cash reward is available for information leading to Neal’s arrest.

The incident occurred in the early hours of May 11, 2024, around 4:50 am. PGPD officers were dispatched to the 100 block of MGM National Avenue following a report from MGM Special Police and Security about a shooting. Thomas was found in a parking garage with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

After extensive investigation using various techniques, Neal was identified as the suspect, and a warrant for his arrest has been issued. He faces charges of first and second-degree murder among other related offenses.

The police are urging anyone with information about Neal’s whereabouts to contact the Homicide Unit detectives at 301-516-2512. Community cooperation is crucial in apprehending the suspect and ensuring justice for the victim.
