Six Teens Arrested for Joyriding in Stolen Car in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, NJ—The Ocean City Police Department swiftly arrested six juveniles involved in a stolen vehicle incident on Saturday, June 8, around 8:17 PM.

The incident unfolded when uniformed patrol officers stopped a vehicle reported stolen from Camden, New Jersey. As the officers approached, six individuals fled the vehicle on foot. Thanks to the rapid response of the Drone Unit and additional officers, all six were captured.

The apprehended juveniles are from various New Jersey locations: a 13-year-old male and a 14-year-old male from Paulsboro; a 15-year-old female, a 15-year-old female, and a 16-year-old female from Egg Harbor City; and a 16-year-old male from Woodbury.

They were charged with Possession of stolen property and Obstruction of the Administration of Law. Following the charges, all six were released into the custody of their parents.
