Washington, D.C. — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Northeast D.C. on Friday night.

At approximately 11:43 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots at the rear of the 1700 block of Benning Road, Northeast. An adult male, identified as 45-year-old Darryl Williams, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

A reward of up to $25,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for homicides in the District of Columbia.
