Philadelphia Police Seek Assistance in Solving Fatal Shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department is requesting the public’s help regarding a fatal incident that occurred on a bustling street in early May.

On the afternoon of Friday, May 11, at around 4:45 PM, a confrontation arose among three male suspects and several others on the 4700 block of North Broad Street. The verbal dispute escalated when one of the suspects drew a handgun and fired multiple shots.

Tragically, a woman walking about one and a half blocks away, in the 4800 block of North Broad Street, was struck in the back by a stray bullet and succumbed to her injuries.

The City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this homicide case.
