RALEIGH, NC – Vickie Koch of Raleigh experienced an unbelievable moment early Wednesday morning when she won a $728,048 jackpot playing the digital instant game, Bison Bonanza. Koch, who enjoys playing these games as a nightly relaxation ritual, was in her living room when she realized she had hit the massive jackpot. “I was just sitting there, like I was numb,” Koch shared, overwhelmed by her win.

This jackpot marks the second largest digital instant win since the introduction of these games in November. Koch purchased a $2 ticket and won the top ‘Epic jackpot’ level, a feat with odds of 1 in 15.5 million. Following her win, she expressed a desire to use the winnings to establish an education trust for her grandchildren’s college education.

After mandatory tax deductions, Koch took home $520,555. Beyond her plans for her family’s future, she also dreams of celebrating her good fortune with a girls’ trip to a tropical destination.

Bison Bonanza allows bets ranging from 50 cents to $30. Following Koch’s win, the jackpot was reset to $50,000 and has since increased to over $112,000. These digital instant games are available exclusively online through the lottery’s website or the NC Lottery Official Mobile App, offering 22 different games for players to try their luck.
