Woman Killed in D.C. Hit-and-Run

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Park Police are searching for the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Southeast.

Officers responded to reports of a hit-and-run on Anacostia Drive, near the skating rink, just before 9 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, they found a woman in critical condition.

The woman was airlifted to a local hospital, where her injuries worsened. She died on Sunday morning.

The driver did not remain at the scene. The woman’s identity is being withheld until next of kin are notified.
