ATM Customer Robbed At Gunpoint After Withdrawal

LAUREL, MD— A citizen in Laurel was robbed at gunpoint shortly after withdrawing money from an ATM, prompting a police investigation. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of Russett Green E. on June 9, 2024, at approximately 2:30 PM.

According to the victim, he received a text message instructing him to withdraw money from his bank. Following the instructions, he went to a local ATM and, after completing the withdrawal, was approached by a male suspect. The assailant, who brandished a handgun, demanded and took the money before fleeing in a gray sedan.
