Philadelphia Police Seek Information on SEPTA Train Robbery

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in solving a robbery that occurred aboard the SEPTA “El” train in West Philadelphia. The incident took place shortly before noon on May 28, 2024.

During the incident, a female victim was approached by several teenage males while on the train. The group coerced her to stay on the train, interacted with her, and ultimately stole her phone. As the train reached the next stop, the teenagers fled, and one of the assailants physically blocked the victim from pursuing them by standing in the doorway.

The police are actively investigating the case and urge anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects to come forward. Witnesses or anyone with relevant information are encouraged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department to help in the pursuit of justice for the victim.
