Somerset County Officials Gather for State of the County Address

Bound Brook, NJ – Somerset County Administrator Colleen Mahr delivered a mid-year “State of the County” address to over 60 governing officials at the Columbian Steakhouse last night.

Mahr’s address covered key topics including economic development, the new county budget that reduces the tax rate, the 2026 World Cup, and plans for celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session.

The Somerset County Governing Officials Association, a non-partisan organization, facilitated the event. The association brings together local, county, and state officials to discuss best practices, share solutions, and build relationships to enhance services for residents.
