Rockland County Hosts Second Annual Pride Justice Awards

Rockland County, NY — The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office recently celebrated the Second Annual Pride Justice Awards, an event honoring notable individuals and organizations in the LGBTQ+ community. The reception, hosted by the 9th Judicial District Access to Justice LGBTQ+ Sub-Committee, saw the participation of District Attorney Tom Walsh, judges, elected officials, and community members.

The Cannataro LGBTQ+ Access to Justice Judicial Leadership Award was presented to Judge Michael Sonberg, Retired Associate Judge of the Court of Claims.

The Annual LGBTQ+ Access to Justice Distinguished Leadership Award was given to New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.

The Annual LGBTQ+ Access to Justice Community Impact Award was awarded to Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, LGBTQ+ Unit.

The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office extends its gratitude and congratulations to the honorees for their well-deserved recognition.
