Two Armed Robberies in Annapolis Under Investigation

Annapolis, MD — Investigators from the Southern District Detective Unit are investigating two related armed robberies that occurred on June 17 in Annapolis.

The first incident took place around 4:00 PM at the Truist Bank located at 2350 Solomons Island Road. A 38-year-old man was approached by two male suspects as he returned to his car after visiting the bank. One suspect brandished a handgun, prompting the victim to raise his hands. The suspects went through his pockets and took his money before fleeing in a dark-colored sedan.

The second robbery occurred at approximately 4:35 PM at the Navy Federal Credit Union at 825 Bestgate Road. A 67-year-old man was confronted by two armed male suspects after using the ATM. The suspects demanded cash, which the victim handed over, and then fled in a dark-colored sedan. An officer spotted the vehicle and pursued it, but the suspects managed to escape.
