Wilkes-Barre Man Arrested After Domestic Assault Incident

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A domestic dispute led to the arrest of Cristian Bobadilla-Sanchez, 31, of Wilkes-Barre, after he allegedly assaulted a 30-year-old woman during an argument. The incident occurred at a residence on Gilligan Street around 10:27 PM on June 16, 2024.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the location following a call about a domestic dispute involving an argument over alleged infidelity. During the altercation, the victim reported that Bobadilla-Sanchez grabbed her by the neck and struck her on the head with a cellphone, resulting in a laceration. Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene to treat the victim’s injuries.

Bobadilla-Sanchez was taken into custody and held for arraignment. The case adds to the concerning incidents of domestic violence in the community, prompting local authorities to remind residents of the resources available for those in volatile domestic situations.
