Wilkes-Barre Man Charged with Assault Following Domestic Dispute

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A domestic dispute in Wilkes-Barre led to the arrest of 52-year-old Ricardo Suarez on charges of assault. The incident occurred at a residence on Noble Lane at 9:26 PM on June 14, 2024.

Police were called to the scene following a report of an altercation between Suarez and a 48-year-old woman. According to the victim, what began as a verbal disagreement over a joke escalated when Suarez allegedly burned her with a cigarette, grabbed her neck, and pushed her against a door. Officers noted visible injuries on the victim, who declined medical treatment at the scene.

Suarez was subsequently taken into custody and transported to City Headquarters for processing. The case continues to be under investigation as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
