Couple Targeted by BB Gun While Putting Child Into Car

DUMFRIES, VA – Police are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred on Monday at 8:01 PM in the 17900 block of Swans Creek Lane. The incident involved a man and his spouse being targeted by BB gun projectiles while placing their child into their vehicle.

According to authorities, a gray Jeep Cherokee with several occupants passed by the victims. One occupant, described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s with short hair and wearing gray clothing, fired the BB gun, hitting the 36-year-old victim in the arm and damaging the vehicle.

The police’s subsequent neighborhood canvass revealed a second victim and another vehicle were similarly struck. Only minor injuries were reported from the attacks. The suspects fled the scene quickly after the incident and are still at large.
