Newark Police End Search for Subjects Following Elkton Police Chase

NEWARK, DE — The Newark Police Department has ended an extensive search for two individuals who fled from an Elkton Police Department vehicle pursuit. The search took place around the area of Elkton Road and Casho Mill Road.

Despite efforts by law enforcement, the subjects were not located and are believed to have left the area. As a precaution, nearby daycare facilities were placed on lockdown during the search to ensure the safety of the community.

Authorities have since lifted the lockdown, deeming the area safe.

Newark Police have indicated that there is currently no threat to the community related to this incident. Residents seeking more information or with knowledge about the pursuit are encouraged to contact the Elkton Police Department.
