Ongoing Investigation into Double Homicide at Silver Spring Park

SILVER SPRING, MD – Montgomery County Police’s Major Crimes Division continues to delve into the circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths of two young men, Quincy Johnson of Takoma Park and D’Andre Wint of Lanham. Both 20-year-olds were fatally shot on Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Nolte Local Park, located on Denver Road in Silver Spring.

The incident was reported around 6:57 p.m., prompting immediate response from officers of the Montgomery County Police – 3rd District and Maryland-National Capital Park Police. Upon arrival, authorities found Johnson and Wint deceased at the scene.

Detectives have yet to apprehend any suspects and are appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the identification and arrest of the individuals responsible. The investigation remains active, with law enforcement working diligently to bring justice to the victims and their families.
