Man Shot And Killed Overnight in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, VA — A homicide investigation is underway in Chesapeake following a fatal shooting early this morning. Chesapeake Police officers were called to the scene at around 3:29 AM in the 3000 block of Parkside Drive after receiving reports of gunshots.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound. Immediate first aid was administered, and the victim was quickly transported to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

Currently, no suspect information has been released. The Chesapeake Police Department is actively pursuing leads in the case and is appealing to the public for any information that may assist in the investigation.
