QUEENS, NY—On Saturday morning, local authorities were called to a residence at 251-22 58 Avenue in response to a 911 call reporting an unconscious woman. Upon arrival at approximately 8:59 AM, police found 44-year-old Kate Tierney unresponsive with visible signs of trauma to her back.
EMS personnel pronounced Tierney deceased at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is set to determine the cause of death as the investigation continues. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the 111th Precinct.
