Dover Man Arrested for Shots Fired on Becky Lane

DOVER, DE — Delaware State Police have taken 29-year-old Anthony Hatton into custody following an incident involving firearm discharge and reckless behavior in Dover. The arrest occurred yesterday afternoon after police were alerted to shots being fired in the area of Becky Lane.

On June 23, 2024, around 12:29 p.m., troopers were dispatched following reports of gunfire. Investigations revealed that Hatton, following a dispute with neighbors, retreated into a nearby wooded area by Tidbury Park and discharged a firearm. Authorities found Hatton at the scene, displaying several signs of impairment, and arrested him without further incident.

Fortunately, the incident resulted in no injuries or property damage. Hatton was processed at Troop 3, where he faced charges related to reckless endangering and gun offenses. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and is currently held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $22,000 cash bond.
