Queens Man Identified as Victim in East Harlem Shooting

QUEENS, NY — The NYPD has identified the victim of a recent East Harlem shooting as Abrahan Jose Bello-Daza, a 29-year-old male residing at 47-11 Austell Place, Queens.

On Friday, June 7, 2024, at approximately 8:31 PM, police officers responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot near the intersection of 102nd Street and 1st Avenue, within the 23rd Precinct/PSA5 jurisdiction. Upon arrival, officers discovered Bello-Daza with a gunshot wound to the head.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported Bello-Daza to Cornell Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
