Teen Sought For Stabbing Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA — A 14-year-old male from Wilkes-Barre was hospitalized following an aggravated assault early Thursday morning. The incident occurred at 301 Old River Road at 3:07 AM.

According to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the specified location. Upon arrival, they found the victim who reported being attacked by two male suspects, believed to be between 15 to 18 years old.

The victim detailed that the suspects had instigated a fight as he walked along Old River Road. During the ensuing altercation, one suspect struck him in the face with a firearm. As the victim attempted to escape, he fell and was subsequently stabbed multiple times in the lower back.

The suspects fled the scene before police arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. The police are continuing their investigation into the violent encounter.
