Wilkes-Barre Man Arrested for Assault and Terroristic Threats

WILKES-BARRE, PA — A 44-year-old Wilkes-Barre man, Joseph Hall, was arrested on Sunday afternoon following a violent incident on Trethaway Avenue involving assault and terroristic threats.

At approximately 4:07 PM on June 23, 2024, officers responded to a call about an assault at a residence on Trethaway Avenue. Upon arrival, they spoke with the 33-year-old male victim, who reported that Hall had entered his home, physically assaulted him, and produced a knife during the altercation. The victim further stated that Hall chased him out of the residence with the weapon.

The victim, who is acquainted with Hall, declined medical attention from EMS. Officers subsequently entered the residence, detained Hall, and transported him to City Headquarters for processing. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to gather further details about the incident.
