Wilkes-Barre Woman Arrested for Assaulting Child Over Argument About Electronics

WILKES-BARRE, PA—A Wilkes-Barre resident was arrested early Tuesday morning following a domestic dispute at a local hotel on Kidder Street. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Amy Landron, is facing charges of assault and child endangerment.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 2:09 AM, where they met with a 13-year-old girl who reported that she had been physically assaulted by Landron during an argument about electronics. According to the victim, the altercation escalated when Landron struck her multiple times on the head and pulled her hair.

The young victim also alleged that Landron had threatened to stab her.

Following the incident, officers took Landron into custody and transported her to city headquarters for processing. The juvenile victim was placed in the care of a responsible party. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and further details will be provided as they become available.
