MAYS LANDING, NJ—Stephen Sirch, 30, from Voorhees, New Jersey, was indicted by an Atlantic County Grand Jury on charges of second-degree vehicular homicide related to a fatal traffic incident earlier this year. The indictment comes after a motor vehicle crash that occurred on April 3, 2024, on Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Township.

During the incident, Sirch’s vehicle collided with another car driven by 29-year-old Karina E. Castillo of Clementon, NJ. Castillo was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. Investigations following the incident indicated that Sirch was traveling at an excessive speed, which led to the tragic outcome.

The case has been thoroughly investigated in a cooperative effort between the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigations Unit and the Hamilton Township Police Department. The indictment serves as a critical step in the legal proceedings surrounding this case.
