Elderly NYC School Safety Agent Arrested for Assault and Harassment

BRONX, NY—Daniel Obrien, a 77-year-old off-duty NYPD School Safety Agent, was arrested late Wednesday night on charges of assault and harassment. The incident, leading to his arrest, occurred within the jurisdiction of the 47th Precinct.

Obrien faces charges of third-degree assault and second-degree harassment, according to police reports. The circumstances surrounding the allegations have not been detailed.

He has been placed on administrative leave at this time.
