NYPD Identifies Victim in Brooklyn Stabbing

BRONX, NY – Police identified the victim of a fatal stabbing incident as Gilberto Dejesus, a 50-year-old male from 500 Barretto Street in the Bronx. The incident occurred near Echo Place and East Tremont Avenue in the 46th Precinct.

At approximately 9:16 PM on Wednesday, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a male stabbed in the area. Upon arrival, they found Dejesus with a stab wound to his chest.

Emergency Medical Services transported Dejesus to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. As of now, no arrests have been made.

The investigation into the stabbing remains ongoing. Authorities have yet to release further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
