Allegheny County Police Charge 20-Year-Old in Clairton Shooting

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA – A 20-year-old man has been charged following a shooting in Clairton that resulted in one injury and collateral damage, including the death of a dog and damage to three vehicles. The Allegheny County Police Department reported the incident, which took place on June 27 in the 1100 block of Marion Circle.

At approximately 4:08 PM, County 9-1-1 received a call about the shooting. First responders arrived to find Terrell Craig, a 20-year-old male, with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.

The Clairton Police Department requested support from the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit. Investigations revealed that the incident began with a physical altercation outside a residence around 4:00 PM. Craig reportedly retrieved a rifle from a vehicle and aimed it at another individual. This action escalated to an exchange of gunfire involving Craig and two other adult males.

During the shootout, a dog was tragically killed, and three vehicles sustained damage from the gunfire. Detectives collected 36 spent casings from the scene as part of the ongoing investigation into this violent episode.
