The Jersey Shore Is Finally Getting A Dave and Busters

FREEHOLD, NJ – People have been asking for years for a Dave and Busters in the Jersey Shore region of New Jersey and it’s now finally happening.

The incredibly fun sports bar-arcade brand has been approved to open up a new location at the Freehold Raceway mall, filling the empty former Sears space.

The Freehold Raceway Mall, one of the more successful brick and mortar indoor malls in New Jersey is set for a transformation. A proposal has been submitted for a new Dave & Buster’s and the Freehold Athletic Club to take over the former Sears space, which has been vacant since 2019 has been officially approved.

The Macerich Co., owner of Freehold Raceway Mall, has proposed splitting the 74,620-square-foot site between the two new venues.

Dave & Buster’s is slated to occupy 40,158 square feet of the space, featuring 137 tables, 545 seats, a bar, a restaurant, and an arcade. The Freehold Athletic Club will utilize the remaining 30,720 square feet, offering five pickleball courts, a yoga studio, a golf simulator, a cryotherapy room, and a juice bar.

This is great news for the Freehold Raceway Mall, Dave and Busters, and the Jersey Shore region.
