REHOBOTH, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of Big Chill Surf Cantina. Detectives identified the suspect as Jonathan Blackwell, 28, of Milford, Delaware, and obtained a warrant for his arrest on multiple felony charges.
The incident occurred on June 30, 2024, and Blackwell was apprehended in Pennsylvania. Upon extradition to Delaware, he will face charges including Assault 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Firearm.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather details surrounding the shooting.
