Woman Found Lying in Hotel Parking Lot Was Just Drunk, Police Report

STAFFORD, VA—An incident involving a publicly intoxicated woman led to an arrest at the Best Western Inn on Richmond Highway. Deputy B.M. Stanfill was dispatched to the scene on July 1 at 7:27 PM after reports of an unknown problem involving a female lying on the ground.

Upon arrival, law enforcement and Fire and Rescue personnel found the woman asleep on the ground. When she was awakened by the deputies, she began using profane language and exhibited aggressive behavior towards them. Observations of visible signs of intoxication led to her being charged with public intoxication.

Following the altercation, she was transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail to continue her recovery until deemed sober. This arrest underscores the ongoing issues of public intoxication and the challenges faced by law enforcement in managing such situations.
