Fire Engulfs Popeyes Restaurant in Eatontown

Eatontown, NJ – A fire fully engulfed a Popeyes restaurant on Route 35 in Eatontown this morning, prompting a significant emergency response.

The fire started at 7:41 a.m., as reported by the New Jersey Department of Transportation Traffic Operations Center South. The blaze led to the closure of all southbound lanes on NJ 35 near NJ 71/Broad St.

The Red Bank Fire Department reported that multiple fire departments and mutual aid responded to the scene to control the fire.

Motorists are advised to use caution and seek alternate routes due to the ongoing emergency response and road closures. Further updates on the situation are expected as the authorities manage the incident.

Traffic is backed up as far south as Eatontown and north to Shrewsbury.
