Toms River to Host Free Concert at Shelter Cove Beach Featuring Dr. K’s Motown Revue

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River’s free concert series continues this Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Shelter Cove Beach, featuring Dr. K’s Motown Revue.

Presented by Mayor Dan Rodrick and the Toms River Recreation Department, the event invites families to bring chairs or blankets for an evening of entertainment. Attendees can also dock boats along the shore.

Dr. K’s Motown Revue, consisting of seven musicians and five vocalists, will perform hits from Motown’s biggest stars, including the Four Tops, the Temptations, the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Junior Walker, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, and Mary Wells.

The band’s performance is noted for its authentic sound, coordinated costumes, and precise dance routines, offering a nostalgic experience reminiscent of the Motown era.

The last live music concert at Shelter Cove was a smashing success as hundreds enjoyed the music of Tramps Like Us, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band.
